"Golden Mikhail Day": Olympic Champion Showered with Gifts

Following Mikhail Shaidorov’s historic victory at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, the Kazakh figure skater has been flooded with recognition and grand rewards back home.

The construction company Ulytau Group celebrated Mikhail's triumph on social media, hailing it as a monumental success for the nation. In recognition of his achievement, the company gifted him a three-bedroom apartment located on the prestigious Left Bank of Astana.

The keys were presented to the athlete virtually at first, as he remains in Italy and was initially unreachable due to the post-victory celebrations.

The world-renowned singer, whom Mikhail paid tribute to by using Dimash’s rendition of "Confessa & Diva Dance" for his gold-medal program, called Shaidorov a "Golden Boy." Dimash promised to gift Mikhail an "iron horse" (a car) and invited him to "Astana Motors" to choose a vehicle upon his return.

The founder of inDrive announced that he has purchased an Audi Q8 not for Mikhail, but specifically for the champion’s father and coach, Stanislav Shaidorov. Tomsky noted that this gift is a symbol of gratitude to the man who stood at the roots of this Olympic success.
