Former Law Enforcement and Judicial Personnel in Kazakh Schools

The Open Legal Acts Portal has published a draft document from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at enabling the employment of former law enforcement and judicial personnel in educational institutions, reports Qrnews.kz.

The draft stipulates that individuals who have previously served in law enforcement or judicial bodies, as well as specialists with other educational backgrounds who have completed pedagogical retraining, will be eligible to work in schools and other educational institutions. Eligible positions include “Fundamentals of Law” teachers and career guidance educators.

It is noted that the adoption of the draft is not expected to result in negative socio-economic or legal consequences.

The document is open for public consultation until 10 December 2025, after which its approval and implementation are planned.
