The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan has announced that domestic airlines are prepared to deploy special aircraft to repatriate citizens as soon as airspace in the Middle East conflict zones is reopened.

During an Emergency Headquarters meeting, officials discussed the current situation in the region, support measures for passengers of cancelled flights, and alternative safe routes for returning Kazakhstanis. These efforts are being closely coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Airspace is currently closed or unstable in 11 countries: Iran, Israel, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, and Lebanon. Between February 28 and March 1, 26 flights to Kazakhstan were cancelled. Additionally, 13 flights scheduled for March 2 remain in an uncertain status.

A 24/7 hotline has been established at the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan. Citizens can seek assistance via the following contacts:

The Ministry strongly advises passengers to check their flight status in advance and rely only on official information sources.
