In Kyzylorda, for the first time in Kazakhstan, a fine was issued using an automated system that records a driver's behavior inside the vehicle. Sabit Ibadulla, the Head of the Kyzylorda Regional Department of Digital Technologies, shared this update with Digital Business.

This innovation is made possible by the SUNQAR complex, which is equipped with domestic neural networks. The artificial intelligence independently analyzes every action of the driver inside the car to identify legal violations. The system has been undergoing testing since March 12 and moved to issuing actual fines only after interdepartmental agreements were finalized.

Notably, while the artificial intelligence records the violation, the final decision remains with a police officer. A fine only becomes official after a law enforcement officer signs the electronic prescription in the Unified Register of Administrative Offenses.

Currently, the system is being implemented in stages. For now, the automated mode only monitors whether the driver is wearing a seat belt. Cameras do not yet issue fines for other violations, such as transporting children without special safety seats.
