FIFA Allocates $250,000 to Boost Youth Football Infrastructure in Kazakhstan

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has awarded a $250,000 grant to the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) to enhance youth football development and build local coaching expertise, the press service of the KFF reported.

According to the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan as of August 21, the funding translates to approximately 114.6 million tenge. The grant is provided through FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS) for 2026.

The allocated funds will be distributed across key operational areas:

• Talent Scouting & Selection ($125,000): Half of the total funding will directly support initiatives aimed at identifying and scouting promising young football players across the country.

• Capacity Building & Education ($50,000): Dedicated to hosting specialized training workshops and seminars for coaches and talent scouts.

• Program Administration ($50,000): Allocated toward overall operational management and oversight of the initiative.

• Safeguarding & Support ($25,000): Set aside to implement participant protection protocols and provide psychological support for young athletes.

Launched in 2022, FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme aims to help member associations establish sustainable framework systems for discovering and nurturing top-tier young talent worldwide.
