Exchange Rate on the Rise: Dollar Strengthens on the Exchange

Following the results of trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on January 14, the US dollar exchange rate was established at 510.43 tenge. Within a 24-hour period, the American currency gained 0.72 tenge.

In exchange offices across the country, the dollar is being bought at an average of 510–511 tenge and sold at 511.5–513 tenge. The Euro exchange rate fluctuates between 587–595 tenge for buying and 596–598 tenge for selling. The Russian ruble is accepted at 6.33–6.46 tenge and sold at 6.48–6.53 tenge.

Amidst these currency fluctuations, Brent crude oil is showing moderate dynamics. The cost of March futures on the ICE exchange stands at $65.65 per barrel.
