The Ministry of Energy has confirmed that the moratorium on raising retail prices for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel remains in effect, despite reports from drivers about rising fuel costs in some regions.

On December 1, users reported that the price of AI-92 gasoline in Almaty had risen to 241 KZT per liter, even though the established maximum is 239 KZT. Similar cases were recorded in Astana and Shymkent. In response, the ministry issued an official clarification.

The ministry emphasized that the approved pricing procedure has not changed, and any violations should be considered as separate cases.

“Prices for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel remain at the levels established on October 16, 2025. Data from digital maps and information services are not a basis for revising the price,” the ministry stated.

They also noted that each complaint about overpricing will be checked individually.

“If a violation of the established price is recorded at a specific gas station, the authorized authorities will conduct an inspection in each case,” the ministry explained.

Drivers who notice price discrepancies are recommended to contact the hotline at +7 701 855 02 48.
