Famous Kazakh stand-up comedian Nurlan Saburov, who was recently slapped with a 50-year entry ban to Russia, has announced his intention to return to the neighboring country. This information was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency.

During his recent concert in Thailand, the artist openly stated his desire to visit Russia from the stage.

"I am planning to return to Russia. Therefore, I am declaring right now: from now on, my performances will be of a highly patriotic nature," Saburov said, mixing humor with seriousness.

The audience met the comedian’s words with a standing ovation.

Nurlan Saburov joked about the half-century restriction imposed on him, noting that even prominent political figures do not face such long-term sanctions.

"What is 50 years? What am I - Dracula?" the artist remarked with irony.

As a reminder, Nurlan Saburov was detained on the night of February 6 at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport. He was served with an official document prohibiting his entry into the Russian Federation. Although deportation to the United Arab Emirates was initially considered, the comedian decided to fly to Almaty on the same day.
