Starting April 15, 2026, Astana International Airport will suspend all flight arrivals and departures during daylight hours. According to the airport administration, this temporary measure is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work on the runway.

The repair schedule is slated to continue until May 31, 2026. During this period, the airfield will be closed to all air traffic daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Flights originally scheduled within this timeframe have been rescheduled to early morning or late evening slots.

While flight operations are restricted, the airport terminals, ticket offices, and service areas will remain fully operational 24/7. These restrictions apply exclusively to aircraft take-offs and landings.

Passengers are strongly advised to verify their flight status via the official websites of their respective airlines. Additionally, travelers are reminded to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to domestic departures and three hours before international flights to ensure a smooth boarding process.
