Dates for New Parliamentary Elections Confirmed

New Parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan will take place this summer. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced this during a meeting at the "Kazmedia" center with youth who participated in the national referendum campaign.

The President emphasized the importance of the nation working together for the upcoming political campaign, noting that the newly formed chamber should be a "Parliament of the youth."

"An extensive propaganda and agitation campaign has been conducted. There is a lot of work ahead of us. Now, Parliamentary elections will be held in the summer. We must carry this out as one country. I believe this should be a Parliament for the youth," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to the new Constitution, the powers of the current Parliament will be terminated starting July 1, 2026. Election dates must be set within two months of the new Constitution coming into force.
