The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has released data regarding violations identified on online platforms across the country. According to Minister Aida Balayeva, more than 27,000 instances of illegal content have been detected in the digital sphere since the beginning of the year.

The Ministry’s report highlights that the majority of this illicit content is related to online casino advertising (13,806 cases). Other significant areas of concern include the promotion of drugs (7,448 cases) and the distribution of pornographic material (6,034 cases). Furthermore, instances involving content harmful to minors and the promotion of suicide have also been recorded.

Platforms with the Highest Concentration of Illegal Content:

 Instagram: 9,532 posts

 VK: 8,503 posts

 YouTube: 3,340 posts

 Telegram: 3,018 posts

 TikTok: 2,820 posts

Additionally, illegal information has been identified on Facebook, Moi Mir, X (Twitter), Odnoklassniki, and Threads, with relevant measures currently being taken to address these issues.

The Ministry emphasizes that it maintains continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with legislative requirements on online platforms and remains committed to ongoing efforts aimed at preventing illegal activities.
