Global K-pop phenomenon BTS has officially revealed the tracklist for their highly anticipated album, Arirang. According to Billboard, the album is set for release on March 20 and marks the group’s first full-length studio project in six years.
The new album features 14 tracks. The group shared the list via their official Instagram and Weverse accounts. The album opens with "Body to Body," followed by "Hooligans," "Aliens," "FYA," "2.0," "No. 29," and "SWIM." The second half includes "Merry Go Round," "NORMAL," "Like Animals," "they don’t know ’bout us’," "One More Night," and "Please."
Fans (Army) immediately noticed a striking detail in the graphic: while 13 tracks are written in red, the track "SWIM" is highlighted in black. This has led to widespread speculation that "SWIM" will serve as the album's lead single (title track).
World-Class Collaborations
A powerhouse lineup of global producers contributed to the album's creation:
• Diplo
• Kevin Parker (Tame Impala)
• Mike Will Made-It
• Ryan Tedder (Lead singer of OneRepublic)
The members of BTS were also heavily involved in the songwriting process. Group leader RM is credited with writing nearly every track, while Jungkook contributed to the composition of several songs.
The title Arirang is a direct reference to the traditional Korean folk song, often considered the unofficial anthem of Korea. For BTS, the name symbolizes a "return to roots" and a celebration of their cultural heritage. This release follows their 2020 album Be, which famously debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
