“Atyrau” Bridge Support Collapsing – Astana Residents Concerned

One of the supports of the “Atyrau” pedestrian bridge in Central Park, Astana, has been found to be damaged, Tengrinews.kz reports. Local residents sent photos and videos showing the condition of the bridge to the news outlet.

Theeditorial team contacted the city administration for comments. According to officials, an inspection of the bridge is currently underway. Based on the results, repair and restoration work will be planned and carried out.

The “Atyrau” bridge was built in 2018 to connect the left and right banks of Astana. The bridge was gifted to the city by the Atyrau region in honor of Astana’s 20th anniversary. The project cost at the time was approximately 6 billion tenge.
