The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has officially announced the venue and date for its 51st Congress. The next gathering of European football’s governing bodies will take place on March 4, 2027, in the capital of Kazakhstan.
The decision was finalized during UEFA’s milestone 50th Congress held in Brussels, attended by David Loria, General Secretary of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF).

The Kazakhstan Football Federation confirmed that the organization of this high-profile international event will not require government funding.

 "The organization and execution of the event will be fully funded by UEFA's own resources. The implementation of the Congress does not involve any expenditure from Kazakhstan's state budget," KFF representatives stated.

The 51st Congress in Astana will hold "Elective Congress" status. As part of the proceedings, the future direction of European football will be determined, including the resolution of several critical issues:

  • Election of the UEFA President;
  • Election of new members to the UEFA Executive Committee;
  • Approval of strategic and financial plans for European football.

Strengthening International Standing

The KFF views the selection of Kazakhstan as a host as a sign of high trust and recognition of the country's contribution to the development of football. This event is expected to bolster Kazakhstan’s position in the international sports arena and elevate sports cooperation to a new level.
