The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Philippe Pascal, CEO of Groupe ADP. The parties discussed the future development of Almaty Airport and major projects in the aviation sector.

During the meeting, the President emphasized that the development of aviation hubs is a key direction in Kazakhstan's transport and logistics strategy. The Head of State noted the effectiveness of the cooperation with foreign partners.

"The involvement of Groupe ADP in managing the infrastructure of Almaty Airport can serve as a shining example of a successful partnership," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Head of State also highlighted that the construction of the new international terminal has made a significant contribution to the modernization of the airport's infrastructure:

"This has made it possible to modernize the airport's infrastructure and increase passenger traffic to 14 million people per year," the President said.

In turn, Philippe Pascal presented the master plan for the development of the airport until 2050. According to him, the investment program will allow the airport's capacity to be increased to 55 million passengers.

At the end of the meeting, the parties also examined issues regarding the modernization of regional airports. The President expressed confidence that the agreement on air services between Kazakhstan and the European Union will provide new impetus for the development of the industry.
