Air Astana Flight from Almaty to Bangkok Makes Emergency Landing in Delhi

Due to a technical malfunction, the Air Astana flight from Almaty to Bangkok was forced to make an emergency landing at Delhi Airport in India. This information was officially confirmed by the airline.

There were 138 passengers on board. The flight departed from Almaty at 01:00 on the night of December 18 and successfully landed in Delhi at 05:51.

According to the airline, passengers were provided with meals and temporary visas. Currently, arrangements are being made to accommodate them in hotels. Additionally, a backup aircraft is being prepared to continue the flight to Bangkok.

It is worth noting that earlier, smoke was detected in the cabin of an Air Astana flight from Almaty to Astana, prompting the crew to issue a Mayday alert. The airline later stated that the unusual odor originated from the air conditioning system.
