Aftermath of the Ust-Luga Mass Brawl: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Urgent Statement

A massive conflict involving hundreds of people broke out at a major construction site in Russia. The situation in the shift workers' camp escalated, resulting in multiple arrests, reports Baq.kz.

Details have emerged regarding the high-profile incident in the village of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Oblast. Several hundred people were involved in the sudden clash at a "Velestroy" company facility. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has released the latest data concerning the fate of Kazakhstani citizens involved.

Immediately following the brawl, more than 30 individuals were detained. While most were released after initial investigative procedures, court rulings were issued against several Kazakhstanis:

• A group of citizens has been placed under administrative arrest for 10 days.

• Three other Kazakhstanis remain in a pre-trial detention center, facing charges under a criminal investigation.

According to diplomats, no injuries were reported among Kazakhstani citizens during the conflict, and no one required medical assistance. Currently, consuls are working on-site to provide necessary legal support and protection.

The official version states that the brawl on March 26 was of a domestic nature. Experts reassure that there was no ethnic or international motive behind the conflict. Security has since been tightened at the workers' camp, and a special meeting was held between the employer and law enforcement agencies. The situation has been stabilized.
