Five people were injured after a train derailed in Switzerland, reported Euronews.

The train was traveling from Goppenstein to Hohtenn with 29 people on board. The accident occurred near the town of Goppenstein.

Police said the derailment was caused by avalanches. Earlier, authorities had issued avalanche warnings, rating the danger level at four out of five. The Swiss prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the incident.
