$5 Million Thermal Resort with Radon Springs Coming to Mangystau

In 2026, a new thermal resort with radon springs will be constructed in Mangystau.

Thermal is a scientific term used to describe water that is naturally warm or hot. It is often used to describe healing water sources, therapeutic, or recreational centers.

The total cost of the project is $5 million. Entrepreneur Saule Zhakayeva has signed a preliminary agreement with investors from China and South Korea, reports Lada.kz.

The resort will operate year-round. It will feature a large thermal pool with natural hot water, a panoramic cold pool, a full SPA center (hammam, sauna, massage rooms), a 40–50 room hotel, and 15 premium villas. The territory will also include a restaurant, lounge area, zones for children and family recreation, a park, and parking facilities.

The complex will accommodate 200 guests at a time and provide permanent employment for 100 people. Construction is expected to take 12–16 months, and the resort is scheduled to open in 2027.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in some healing waters that can help treat certain illnesses. When used correctly, radon springs are beneficial for therapeutic and resort purposes.

The project aims to attract tourists from Aktau, other regions of Kazakhstan, CIS countries, China, and the Middle East.
